• A&R Showcase In Nashville
Blue News will play a showcase in front of music industry representatives in early November at Soundcheck Rehearsal Studios in Nashville, TN. Soundcheck was created by Glenn Frey (of The Eagles) in 1992 and it is the largest rehearsal studio complex in the world under one roof, Soundcheck is recognized as the rehearsal venue of choice by many top touring and recording acts. www.soundchecknashville.com

The band will play a 3-4 song audition for representatives from Band With A Mission (BWAM) BWAM is contracted out by a number of different Record Labels to find their next artists. They have weekly meetings with each company in order to update the Record Labels on the status of who they have seen, and who they should sign. BWAM was responsible for signing the Sidewalk Prophets (also from Indiana) & Rush of Fools, a Christian Rock/Contemporary Christian Music band from Alabama, who won the “Song of the Year Award” from ASCAP in 2008.

• New Videos!
The band was recently invited to play in a new series of unplugged music videos shot on the streets of Terre Haute, IN called “Folked Up! (In Terre Haute)”. Our good friend Jon Dacosta (of the band Cuba) has teamed up with Terre Haute Show Rag and a video team including Patrick Boggs, Jet Kaiser www.jetkaiser.com & more. Blue News shot 2 videos so far – featuring 2 new unreleased songs – “Wasted Days” & “Be Yourself (And You’ll Go Far) - and they’re floating around online now. We were amazed by the turnout and thank everyone involved for including the band! Our new videos can be seen online soon at: www.myspace.com/wabashpartywww.youtube.com/user/TerreHauteShowRag and will also be posted on our website, youtube and vimeo in 2 weeks.

• Radio Campaign
We’re preparing to attack the radio waves to spread the word about the band’s music. We’ll be contacting several radio stations for radio play, on-air interviews and free live in-studio performances. A list of all stations and events will be posted online. If you have any suggestions for radio stations in your area, send us some details to get in touch with them by emailing to blamerecords@live.com or contact the station and let them know about us. We’re always looking for new connections and new ways to get our band heard!
